| Abstract: | A lantern slide advertisement for sandshoes. The image consists of a drawing that has been photographically transferred onto glass and then hand coloured. A woman dressed in a button up short white dress is shown leaping in the air in some sporting activity that has not been particularised.The setting has a green ground surface and symmetrically placed in the background is a wall flanked by pillars. The wall frames the caption which includes: WE CARRY LARGE STOCKS. |

notes on dating: the Agfa-invented process for making coloured glass lantern slides was not available outside Germany until the 1920s, and Perdriau products were known as Dunlop Perdriau products after the companies merged in March 1929. |
