Abstract: The engraving depicts a wide road running through the village of Richmond. The street has kerbs and is edged by timber fences with the occasional gate.The first house on the left has climbing plants growing up its veranda posts and had been the residence of a Mr Hale. A church and its spire can be seen at the end of the vista. A bullock drawn cart laden with hay proceeds down the road and various figures, including a man dressed in a smock populate the scene.
